The Fight

Fights most of the time took place at fight corner, I only really had one fight at school, but, it didn't take place there...
The Skeggs Across the Way

"They're nutters", my mum used to say. "If I catch you hanging around with them, your in trouble". I saw the dad cut one of his fingers clean off once, " It should have been his head" my mum said...
Eight clinical biro drawings depict the basic elements of a suburban upbringing - a local comprehensive, a backgarden, the wasteground. On a television a camera pans across each drawing as a male voice recounts poignant episodes. Just enough information is given to make the scenes specific, but not enough to be solely autobiographical.
